Portraits

Duyên made her own charcoal painting tools. She created a super fine charcoal powder by using an oil lamp fire to burn the bottom of a pot. In her entire career, she has done hundreds of portraits using her charcoal material. 

For many years, Duyên made a living drawing portraits from the photographs of deceased persons.

Later on, to have colours in her work, she used Soft pastel, Acrylic on fabric and Oil on canvas.
